"There is already a lack of basic services"

There are already shortages of food and medical equipment in Ukraine. But currently it is hardly possible to bring the urgently needed goods into our country at all, as helpers from different regions report.

Water and electricity supply damaged

Orphanages and retirement homes in eastern Ukraine are currently particularly badly affected. "There is already a lack of basic services," report the local helpers. The infrastructure has been severely damaged in attacks, there is a lack of water and electricity, but also food. The church is currently raising funds, including for doctors who are on the ground providing tactical medical assistance -- a specialized type of emergency care.

At the moment, for example, bandages and tourniquets, i.e. bandage compresses, are urgently needed to stop acute bleeding: "Just everything you need to keep yourself alive when you're wounded."
